2025 MARIA OTTO SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE

FCCANYS is offering the Maria Otto Scholarship to a provider who is a current member of FCCANYS that has been working in the child care field and follows the spirit & enthusiasm that Maria Otto exhibited in the child care community.

The 2025 Maria Otto Scholarship recipient receives:

• Registration for the 34th Annual FCCANYS Conference at the Best Western Resort and Conference Center in Oswego, NY, October 3-4, 2025.
• Two nights lodging at the Best Western Resort and Conference Center, October 2nd and 3rd, 2025.
• Conference Meals, Friday Lunch and Saturday Lunch

    * Additional costs of transportation & incidentals are the responsibility of the winner.

The applicant should be someone who would not be able to afford attending the conference without the scholarship funds and be actively involved with their local child care community.

The Maria Otto Scholarship was established in 1999.  Maria Otto worked tirelessly throughout her career to improve the professional status and recognition of providers throughout NYS. She was recognized as one of the earliest experts in the field of family child care and was the founder of FCCANYS and NAFCC.

• Applicant must be a registered family child care or licensed group family child care provider
• Letter nominating yourself or another Provider-explain how you/they fulfill these qualities
• Reference letter containing your Name, Program Name, Address, County, Telephone #, Email Address, NYS OCFS License/Registration Fac.#, Expiration Date and # of Years in Business.
• Submission Deadline: Submit electronically to scholarship@fccanys.org by September 15, 2025
• Maria Otto Scholarship Recipient will be notified  September 17, 2025
